Quick update on the cycle ride…..
I’ve been to a volunteers meeting at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby club this evening and the scale of our task has been unveiled to us!
95 riders – 320 odd miles – 4 days
Physio’s, medics, mechanics, water stops, luggage handlers, catering, logistics, tunnels, ferries, a French national holiday (the end of WW2) all in a days work for us volunteers.
I for one am looking forward to seeing all 95 riders leaving the crash site and then counting all 95 back into the rugby club in Bury, it’s going to be emotional.
‘Vive la Fosters’ will be my rallying battle cry as I pass the weary cyclist’s in the relative comfort of the luggage van. If you haven’t donated yet and think it might just be worth it then jump onto the team Lewis just giving page HERE. It is a great cause and if you can help with a little donation it would be greatly appreciated. I will of course try my best (technology permitting) to keep you all updated during the event itself.
