Update 27th May 2020 – Further to our update on the 13th May we have been reviewing our processes and procedures so that we can commence trading in a new safe way, safe for you our customers and safe for our employees. Our manufacturing partners have already re-commenced production and most surveyed items are now in stock or ready to be delivered to us for installation.

We hope to complete the review in early June and as such we will be in touch with all our current customers to arrange for product installations to recommence.

Once again we would like to thank our customers for the many great messages we have received, it is very pleasing and refreshing to hear that our customers are aligned with our train of thought. Further update expected w/c Monday 1st June.

Update 13th May 2020 – After the clarification received on Monday evening when the government announced it was ok for trades people to work in peoples houses for non-essential work if it is safe to so, we have put some thought to how we can safely achieve our installations in customers homes. The following is a message from our Managing Director Adrian Lewis

The reputation of Frames Conservatories Direct has been built over the last 19 years by putting people first, be they customers, staff or the communities in which we live and work in.

In the two days since the PM’s announcement that life can begin to return to some form of normal over 1,000 have sadly lost their lives due to the coronavirus, covid 19. Now is not the time for us to be re-entering our customers homes, it’s not right for you our customers and it’s not right for the people that work for the business. Therefore I will only allow my staff into homes when I feel it is safe to do so.

To me it’s a risk we don’t need to take, after all the hard work and sorrow we have been through and potentially risking the company’s very existence, why take a risk of life and death? For the sake of profit, that is not what I have built this great company on, I have built it for customers, staff and communities, in doing so the profits came. Right now staying safe and well for everyone is my prime driver. I am aware and dismayed by competitor companies who are willing to put profit before people, for their sake let’s hope i’m wrong. I’d rather be sure than take the risk.

So for the time being we will adopt a different approach, we will continue with sales presentations either over the phone or via a live video link. If we need to visit a property to discuss a project we will always do this from outside and if we need to talk this will be from a very safe social distance. We have already rolled out an electronic ordering process where we can remotely submit orders for our customers to electronically sign.

Surveying will take place by taking measurements from the outside.

We will continue carrying out building works, e.g conservatory bases, plastering and rendering but only where the physical thermal barrier is in place. We will continue installing roofline goods (Fascia’s, soffits and guttering) and we will continue installing cladding such as HardiPlank.

Once I have the confidence to put my team in your homes without undue risk I will do so until then we are staying alert, staying safe and trying our level best to protect the people who are core to our business. That’s customers, staff and suppliers.

I would personally like to thank the many, many customers who have thanked us for taking such a hard stance to try and protect one and all from this deadly and awful decease. Adrian Lewis – MD – Frames Conservatories Direct.

Update 11th May 2020 – After the PM’s announcement last evening, we are working on a plan to reopen and return the new normal way of working, thankfully the team are all fit, well and itching to get back to work. Further info will be posted here once we have worked out how to manage our processes to be able to work in-line with the new guidelines. Sales visits can be booked on-line by using the form below, socially distancing measures will be apparent during any visits that we undertake.

Keep Safe, Stay In and Protect the NHS

24th March 2020 – In these difficult, uncertain and unprecedented times we wanted to keep our present and future customers updated with the actions we are taking to protect customers and staff alike.

We are following the Government advice and are closing the business for the recommended period. Any further news will be added to the top of this page.

If you had an installation booked, please rest assured that we will re-book with you on our return, we have a factory full of your products to install and will do all we can to get them fitted for you.

During this enforced shutdown there will be no one in to answer calls or take messages.

We wish you all well, stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all on the other side of this terrible disease and enforced lockdown.
